What we do

Weather Intelligence works with clients to optimise their performance in response to a range of environmental challenges. These include current weather events (‘normal’ and extreme) and climate change (both adaptation and mitigation).

We define how policies and procedures can be adjusted to better manage weather risks and how strategy can incorporate these risks to increase preparedness, justify expenditure and demonstrate best practice.

We specify our clients’ requirements for weather and climate change data and forecasts and source these competitively on their behalf.

Together with our partners, we have access to a range of specialist consultants with expertise in the following areas:

  • Weather and Climate Change, Risk Management, Asset Management, Engineering, Project Management, Organisational Performance and Human Factors.

Our clients are businesses, regulators and government organisations with interests in asset intensive, highly regulated sectors including transport, utilities and civil engineering.

There are three key areas of our work:
  1. Research  - historic analysis, in situ data collection and analysis, UKCP09 interpretation and assessing resilience.
  2. Consultancy  - organisational assessments using our Climate Change Readiness Assessment tool, Local Government National Indicator 188 assessment tool and bespoke consultancy.
  3. Training  - day courses in climate change mitigation and adaptation and the development of bespoke training courses.
